one can argue these women used their sexuality to advance their careers and now they are being deemed role models in society

Yea, that was the strangest post in this thread, replying to himself but in a manner that suggested he was replying to a random post he had seen.

a shame this #metoo campaign has been only about women, seeing as how so many small boys have been molested as well. It would be very easy to make the narrative of this campaign all encompassing for any and all that have been victims of any kind of sexual assault or harassment.
Good point. Seems like we have 2 teacher threads every week. It's fascinating to watch those events never get rolled into a larger narrative.

It's because guys can't be raped. You should know this.
Unless it's by another man, because then the man can be the devil and we can forget the victim was male.

You acted like it takes more effort. Stop being so sensitive.

No. Neither do I think it's ok to sit on this for 15'ish years and then haul it out just to be part of the twitter group.
So you think women who now feel empowered to finally come out and nail some sleaze ball is doing it so they can be part of a twitter group? No wonder there's a big problem!

My point was that the real victims didn't just jump on because it was a cool twitter fad.
The reason this is person of the year is because of the wide expanse of it and how it took over social media. It took over social media because the majority of those posting it were lying or making stuff up.

Men aren't people.
Everyone knows this.

oh, im taking an L from bringing in another side of the argument.
ok then
The idea of comparing using your sexuality to rape/assault is basically the definition of you being better off just taking the L instead of going to weird extremes.

That's also an interesting topic. We always hear that rape jokes are always unacceptable unless it's male on male rape, then it's just another funny prison joke.
