Why is it called day light savings time both times a year when the time changes? When it theoretically should be day light savings time one time and day light losing time for the other.

Because it's not. You have Standard Time and Daylight Savings Time.

Instead of the going back an hour or up an hour, why not adjust the time 30 mins and leave it at that? So in the fall, instead of going back an hour, just go back 30 mins, and leave that as the time forever.

It’s properly referred to as daylight saving time (no “s”), even though “daylight savings” may actually be more common.

“What’s the deal with Ovaltine? It comes in a round container, you put it in a round glass, why don’t they call it Roundtine?”

It's not. It's "Daylight Saving Time". No "s" at the end of "Saving", you functional retard. And it only happens once per year, not twice.

Excellent gif.

Does anyone know the answer as to why we can't split the difference (1/2 hour) and not have to switch twice a year?

If you drive 100 mph to your destination, you can recoup that time and save gas by getting there quicker. .
