Here's something for you to try to chase down that I've never had any luck with over the years. It is a pair of Black Americana watercolor portraits. They're pencil scetched and then painted with watercolors. They're on quality watercolor paper, but were cheaply framed with cardboard backing. We bought them from a good friend of ours, an elderly black lady in our neighborhood who was in her late 80s at the time. She said she had them for "years and years" was all she said about them. She passed a year or so later without telling us much else about them. The artist's mark on both is a W over an H. The only mark on the back is an X in pencil. They aren't prints, I can tell that much.

There is some discoloration from the poor mounting/framing. Otherwise, they're in good shape.

ETA: They're both 6" x 8"

The creep factor makes me love it even more. I get that response a lot when people see the snowmen.

German hand blown glass ornaments from the early 1900s can be kind of creepy, but I love them. I have a collection of ornaments that are just heads. Mushroom Head Girl is my all time fave.

I have 4 of these old Lone Ranger books from 1940. The “wartime conditions stamp I thought was cool.

Maybe William H Johnson? It doesn’t look like his style. Most of his stuff looks like Clementine Hunter’s work, but there are a couple pieces where he varied, but the variant is more abstract

What timing this is.. I was just given some of those NFL Saints high ball glasses that they would give out at the Shell station with a gas up... I think there is a dozen of them...

Sorry not sure how to make picture appear in post. The preview seemed to work.

These candleholders are probably 75 years old. Have you seen these in your outings?

Can’t appraise without picture, but candleholders are not too valuable for the most part unless the are sterling silver

Edit:
I see them now. I would say not to valuable. Old ornate stuff have taken a dive in the last 15 years. Those are called sconces.

Have a German officers WWII Luger, with additional clip, and leather holster. Never been fired. Given to my grandfather at a ceremonial surrender. Been authenticated as well. No intention of ever selling, but curious what that would go for.

ETA: don’t recall the German Generals name, but he was not of significant note

I don’t have a picture of the entire collection, but what about a program for every Sugar Bowl ever?
