Time for some fun.

Let's say "they" come out with a miracle pill that burns excess fat & leaves everybody with the optimal body fat of no more than 8-12% (meaning obesity is effectively wiped out). Let's also say that this miracle pill costs just $1/day for everyone.

What kind of economic + daily impact would this have on the medical/insurance, fitness, food/beverage, clothing, & dating communities?

Sounds like a good problem to have.

We need something to counteract the chicken sandwich

It would probably have a huge impact. Now if there was a pill that would get people to stop smoking as well, health insurance would... In theory, be a lot cheaper.

You can fix fat, but you can't fix ugly.

Idk if most people do gym just to be skinny, but it won’t do shite all to affect people who actually lift or train for some specific goal that is literally anything besides just being less fat.
