They showed this on the news earlier from 2004 and damn I feel old watching this. I was in high school and I didn’t realize it always flooded right there on Burbank off of Nicholson. You would think they would have done some work on it to prevent it from flooding.

When I was at lsu, a rain event caused the water table to rise so high that the basements of on-campus buildings began to flood. I’m sure it’s happened since. Not really a lot of places for water to go

Saw a lot of people damage their cars today trying to drive through that mess. It's amazing that it has been like that for so long, considering it is in the shadow of Tiger Stadium.

The roads in and around LSU would be at home in 3rd world countries.

Who doesn’t know it floods there? It happens all the time. Walk Ons turns into a lakefront property.
George Sells and Donna Britt were such a good team. George Sells was way too talented for Baton Rouge.

The Native Americans living in South La didn't call it "Highland Road" for no reason!

It flooded like that in that same corner in 1988.

When I moved to BR in 2008 one of the first things I realized was how that spot in front of WalkOns floods anytime someone spills a drink (it was on my work/home route). How it can be a shock to anyone whose lived in BR as long or longer is amazing to me.

Guess what Fred Rayford still works for DPW after all these years going back to the 1990’s. His dept failed to clean out ditches, cleaning storm drains, and not cleaning out bayous. He can come up with some great excuses.
Seems funny that someone who has failed at his job miserably still has their job today.

In less than a decade Burbank has turned straight up ghetto trash. It’s so fricking sad to see. Stuck in traffic now.
