Agreed. My family isn't rich but definitely high upper middle class. We don't have much of a different lifestyle than most people that I know in other states in the same income bracket.

I was a good cook when I moved to NOLA. After NOLA, I knew so much more about cooking and chefs and the fun of cooking.
When I think about what my go to meals were, only three or four are still in my make-often list and the New Orleans' additional recipes are about 25.
