Uhhhh. Don't you mean mid 90's 7.3 powerstroke?
I mixed my Duramax with my Powerstroke.
Hey I'm a Tacoma driver and a shadetree mechanic, except now I drive something that never needs mechanic work.

They should take the guy who wants this done to his truck, wrap his mouth around the exhaust pipe and put pedal to metal.

I would assume there are laws against that. There should be if there isn't a law.
that soot will ruin anything remotely white you're wearing.

Also pretty sure your buddies truck is a 7.3. 6.5 was a Chevy.
yeah I totally mixed that up. Powerstroke and the 90's dodge Cummins are the best of the heavy duty engines as far as being able to take abuse and high mileage with little issue.
I would think it would be stupid to intentionally mess it up.

The amount of smoke a truck releases is inversely proportional to the truck owner's IQ/education.

Al Gore is seriously going to arse rape your tailpipe. Seriously.
What the frick is the deal with the exhaust pipe running through the bed that sticks up over the cab and is like 12" or more in diameter?

for heaven's sake i hope he's installed a train engine horn, truck nuts and a glasspack or he might as well turn in his flatbill.

I just saw that for the first time this past weekend, except it was coming out of the normal tailpipes, no stack, I thought, this guy must be an idiot not to notice this, he needs to get it to the shop before totally fricks it up, it was a fairly new truck, had no idea that it might be intentional

Black smoke from a diesel is just unburned fuel, not dangerous for engines. White spike from diesel bad.
Posted on 6/25/14 at 4:13 pm to Napoleon
If the smoke is a byproduct of adding performance products to increase HP, fuel economy, etc, I'm ok with it. To purposefully mid the truck strictly to put out black smoke however, seems kind of dumb.

it's got to be pooling up on some heat source to smoke, how does it not "torch" if it gets to the flash point? or do they want that effect too?

what about the people walking around who get sprayed with this shite and it ruins their clothes?
Posted on 6/25/14 at 4:19 pm to Napoleon
what is worse, a redneck douche who does shite like this or a worthless piece of ghetto trash who steals lawnmowers and bikes from your back yard?
Posted on 6/25/14 at 4:20 pm to Napoleon
Stupid and pointless. Guys who think it's cool also think truck nuts are cool
Posted on 6/25/14 at 4:20 pm to Napoleon
