One night a drunk driver in a Santa Fe being chased by police hit our house. He went through the cyclone fence, side swiped the house. Then took out a sego palm, crepe myrtle and kept on going back through the fence. He kept on going almost hitting another house and got cornered. Abandoning and taking off on foot. Other than the front of he vehicle being scraped up, the Santa Fe had very little damage to it.

Only if your wife is a African American male. The Santa Fe was his moms.

Got a 2017 Ultimate in the garage. It's a really good vehicle. Yeah I'm bragging about having a garage. ??

Can't imagine why anyone would spend 20k on a used Hyundai.

Probably because it would be hard to find a fully equipped Santa Fe for for less.

Check out the Volkswagen atlas. Looks like a great choice. I worry about the maintenance costs though. Aren't Volkswagens notorious for being pricey when anything goes wrong?

Atlas has a 6 year warranty and is a fantastic vehicle. All reviews have it at or near the top.

Wife drives a Hyundai Tucson that she loves. The engine blew up 4000 miles after the warranty ran out. Hyundai fully replaced it for free anyways. Great company.

Had a 2013 I bought in 2015. Excellent car and value. As far as reliability, Hyundai, Kia and Genesis (all Hyundai brands) are ranked higher than Toyota and Honda. Plus, they actually back it up. I say this as someone who owns both a Honda and a Hyundai currently.

Have 4cyl 2.0 Turbo. Out the door 26k. 6 year 72k mile bumper to bumper. It's our scoot around town car. couple of recalls and quirks as a 1st run vehicle but overall solid little suv

Hey crazy question - could a Tundra seat a family of 4 and a dog? Without throwing the dog in truck bed?

I have a 2016 crew cab Tundra. The interior is plenty big. I routinely seat my two kids (3&5) in the back plus my dog (medium size mutt). It easily fit their car seats too when they were younger.

The wife has owned a Tiburon and an Elantra, and the mother in law currently drives a Santa Fe. The only problem any has ever had was a a faulty fuel injector at 40k on the Elantra. Got it to the dealer and it was back on the road in less than 2 hours at no cost. The mother in law owned 4 consecutive Durangos before the Santa Fe, and says she isn't going back.

The original Genesis was a piece of shite. Hyundai dealers had no idea how to repair them.

Speaking from experience.

I don’t think that makes the Genesis shite because the dealer repair shops didn’t know how to fix them. Times have changed. Plus, Hyundai broke Genesis off into its own brand with its own dealerships. Some Hyundai dealers still sell them, but not as many.
