I was driving in tangi yesterday and saw a whole family on one with two guys on the back literally chugging beers while one of their ol lady's was driving on a cut through street between two major highways with blind curves on it. Pretty sure I saw a kid inside.

Like at some point there's a difference between cruising around on your property and using it as your personal shuttle to go get beer at the convenience store on the roads because you think you're too drunk to drive your truck. These roads are narrow as shite too. I would throw a flag for sure.

My neighborhood has a 1 way in and 1 way out setup, so it doesn’t bother me much

But I just don’t get what the hype is

Some of these things are ~$10,000 and they got it just to cruise the neighborhood?

What a Karen

If in a subdivision, who cares.

I’ve never saw them driving in major roads.

You should see how many serious injuries and fatalities I see on these monthly. Terrible idea to have kids operate.

Youre mad that 15 mph over is a ticket?

Annoying and foolish. I vote against any politician who supports using off road vehicles on the road.

Where do you live? Do you have links to a few of the more recent fatalities?

This is related to my job, so nationwide. I probably see serious injuries to a driver/passenger every week. Since most on this board are in Louisiana, Yes I have seen them in subdivisions around BR.

(They take up the road going 10 mph, or however slow these garbage mobiles go, and they never move over so my duley truck can get by)

You typed all this just to lowkey brag you drive a vehicle with 6 wheels, didn’t you?

Sweet boy

Golf carts and bicycles are great - but they have no business being on the same road as automobiles. It just isn't safe, no matter how skilled and responsible people are. Weather, flat tires, wildlife, debris on the road -- there are too many factors that can lead to a no-fault accident, and a golf cart or bicycle against a car or truck is going to lose every time.

In a perfect world there are separate roads or paths available for each, but that just isn't feasible.

Yea kids running thru STOP signs like it's not even there. They're not even looking a lot of the times. If a car hits them, those parents will want to get paid by the bid bad driver of that vehicle. It's gonna be like lawyer taking on an 18 wheeler being the road bully. It really is a problem. Go into a ritzy community with 18 holes and you better be on guard.

Better stay away from The Villages if you don't like golf carts

In the past I’ve seen a golf cart full of kids flip.

Everything really started to calm down after that incident.
Unfortunately it usually takes something bad or even tragic to happen to spur better policing of golf cart drivers on public roads.
