Some of them suck. Some of them are good with high sensitivity and specificity. Do your research.

Have you researched them? What result are you looking to get? I don't think these tests will give anyone trustworthy results. All the test says is that your body has a specific antibody. Does that mean you can't or won't get the virus? Idk.

I also foresee problems with employers paying $50 an employee for these tests and then those employees thinking they are immune and then getting it anyway.

I've been antibody my entire life.

I got one last week. It actually tells you two things:
1) If you have antibodies
2) and which kind
Apparently there are two types - one tells you if you had the rona, and the other tells you if you currently have it. Unlike the swab test, the antibody one is only effective 7 days following exposure - that is how long it takes for your body to start creating these antibodies.

If the stupidity continues and I need to get one to access certain places, I would. I just have no idea what bullshite the government will require in the future.

The current slant is that the presence of antibodies doesn’t really mean anything as it relates to reinfection. I’ll wait.

Where can you get antibody testing?

What do you mean? It's just a blood test. Takes 5 min.
Quest is doing them at Touro

I've seen a couple OccMed clinics offer them

And beyond that, there's some issue in it picking up antibodies of ANY coronavirus you've had. As we know, that could also mean the common cold.

from the dr I spoke with it will tell you if you had the virus and he says if you had it then you cant get it again and you're not contagious.

If you arent immune with antibodies then a vaccine wont work either and we are wasting our time locked down
There is no reason to believe that is true though. Despite a few anecdotal instances of people supposedly getting sick twice though it is much more likely due to test error or an incomplete immune response first go around

This is a serious question as I do not know the answer and will be researching that. Do we know for sure that once you have it you are immune from future infections?

Many believe that to be the case. Not proven yet though. If it is not the case, I don't know what that says about the prospect of a vaccine.

Hmm, The Scarlet Letter comes to mind.
Soon, you're going to need a big Corona logo on your forehead to get into Walmart.
