Common misconception. They are very goofy, but that doesn't mean they're dumb.

You keep her in a shitty place.

No wonder she looks so sad...

Have 2 and they are the best dogs in my opinion. The best breed with children and are lovable goofy dogs. They are prone to cancer and need to be walked and exercised daily. I got one as a puppy and the other as a rescue at Louisiana Boxer Rescue.

I have one. Best dog ever. He just turned 8 and did have a tumor removed. Other than that he's great. They do shed and drool like crazy though.

Please take your racism elsewhere.

Though I don't care for them, the people I do know that own them or have owned them think they hang the moon, so that's worth something.

The owner has to be right for the dog, not the other way around. Each breed requires specific care. Lots of people buy a dog because they think it looks cool or cute, and those dogs are the ones that end up in shelters.

So, I guess I'm just telling the OP that he needs to do more research as to what kind of dog he is most suitable to owning.

Very true, and I agree.

Best breed out there. Wouldn't trade mine for anything. They don't live long though. Mines 10 and I'll have to put him down sooner than I'd like. We have an 18 month old daughter that he just loves to pieces. And he takes all of her abuse like a champ.

My boxer is one of the best dogs I've ever had.

A few health issues, but finding the food cleared up most.

Definitley drools. Is like a teenager and has tons of energy.

Great with kids. She's very attached to me and likes to lay at my feet or stand right next to me.

Had 3 boxers growing up.

Absolutely awesome dogs. As others have said, great with family, fiercely loyal, and a little goofy.

But none of them lived past 8 years old. That's the major drawback.

Owning a boxer is like having an eternal 2 year old running around. They are non stop

Wife's family only adopts boxers. They've all been great family dogs. They aren't the smartest, but wouldn't hurt a fly.
