The "1/2 your age + 7" rule puts him out of that range. So all of her friends will think he's a creeper, and all of his friends will think he's desperate.

Thoughts on 34 year old professional dating 19 year old college student

Nothing wrong with it. As a 41 year old man I view any woman of legal age as fair game.

I was 35 when I met my 22yr gf. Almost 6 years now. Never been an issue.

Age is just a number, and people’s opinions are just that.

I was a 26 year old Veteran smashing 18 year olds. Making up for lost time. And can confirm that none of the 18-20 year olds are mature enough to be anything other than a fling. Don't call it "dating" if that's not what it is. He's probably a sugar daddy.

My junior year at LSU I met a 21 year old at 27 and we're together 4 years later. Love of my life.

I’ll date between 20-25 as an early 30’s guy. No problem with it

Your wife sounds dramatic af. Personally, I couldn't do it because most girls that age are still childish.

I’ll be honest I’m in my 30s and when I look at 19 year olds I just see kids.

Idk when it happened but at some point it did.

Yes it’s really about having things in common, maturity level, etc. Whatever works for people is their business. I’m 40 now, so if I had to date again I’d probably move up my number just based on I don’t feel like going out all the time.

you know getting married before 19 used to be pretty common right?

Jealousy ain’t a good look

You don't think teens and young adults are less emotionally mature today than our parents/grandparents were 40-50 years ago? There are a fair amount of studies showing that while they are more advanced intellectually as a whole, that they're hitting maturity marks later and later for a variety of reasons.

When I was mid 40s I dated a 26 year old and it fizzled out pretty quick. Just so many obstacles to overcome.
