If you're looking at airport jobs get on with ramp services abs get flight discounts and better pay.
I would really send people to the post office. They are almost always hiring. After 25 years of work you'll get 60% of you highest three years salary for the rest of your life. I would go janitorial rather than clerk because then you can get into maintenence easier which has more upward mobility than mail handling work.
Depends on what's open though.
You can retire in your late 40s or 50s and go work somewhere else or just live on your pension.

Have you looked into being a postman? I hear the benefits and long term are great. You don't have to sit at a desk all day. Downside is long hours and work in extreme weather but maybe worth a shot?

Govt jobs pay well and huge pensions. Go for it. No shame in any job.
I assume that is named after Alben Barkley?

Rig companies are hiring entry level positions in West Texas. Work is outside, not easy but pay is good and you only work half the year.
84 hours per week (40 regular/44 OT). I think they start off at around $35 per hour (1.5x OT) with full benefits.

I honestly don't know how anyone with a family lives on that with the cost of housing and the price of basic consumer goods right now.

laying floor and tile, hanging drywall
If you can stand talking to people all day, that will be the biggest difference, now you will be face to face with more people.

Get the government job first and then claim labor related disability. They will have to pay you without you have to do shite.
