Good Lord, I've never even heard of a "money dance" at a wedding.

Wikipedia says it's more widespread than I knew.

I associated it with Mezcan weddings.

I saw the father of the bride go toe to toe with his new son in law after the vows.

My cousin married a guy behind his trailer. The guy had shot a deer earlier so the ceremony had to be pushed back b/c he had to clean it. Natty lite was the ok nly drink available after the ceremony.

Yeah, no lie. I got nowhere to be.

If there was ever an appropriate time for a "spinoff thread", this is it.

Montgomery county Arkansas.

Forgot to mention the trash wedding ring. Instead of a diamond it was a faceted Arkansas quartz crystal.

Actual photo of ring

During the money dance, the bride's ex-boyfriend was getting a little close to the bride. Or that's what the groom thought. Groom got mad, grabbed a beer bottle from the cooler and threw it at the ex. Ex yelled, "I ain't getting something I haven't already got." The ex had to be forcibly removed while the groom was restrained.

The money dance might be the trashiest part. The only way this is trashier would be if the ex was a cousin.

I once went to a wedding reception with a scarecrow building competition, sparklers, and a kickball tournament. BEST WEDDING EVAH!

That couple is still married almost a decade later and has 3 kids with a 4th on the way.
