The tint on my car was very much legal in Arizona.
I carry insurance well in excess of state minimums.
I just don't think illegal tint is a reason for impound.
Perhaps Louisiana should consider updating its archaic laws like other successful, prosperous states?

I do want privacy but an obviously tinted windshield is much more likely to get me in trouble than slightly darker than legal side windows so 70% is the darkest I feel I can go on the windshield without it being noticed. Dumbass

Lmao. No I work out of my truck 5 days a week, have a few thousand dollars in tools in my truck that I’d prefer people not be able to see. I also pull a large trailer for work 1-2x per week. And I don’t have an aftermarket exhaust. Nice try though. I bet you call your wife’s boyfriend to fix something when it breaks

Heavy tint on windows suggests “to me” an ethnic component aimed at making the driver invisible to predators. It is also considered fashionable in certain circles. Unfortunately, it is counter productive since most of said vehicles have no refrigerated air.

All of my tint is illegal. GA says 33% on the sides and I have 30. It also says the first two inches on the windshield and I have the whole thing at 70.
Two years and no issues for me. And yes, absolutely makes a difference when it’s sunny and hot.

You NEVER get pulled over for illegal tint.
You get in an accident and hit me.
My attorney has a field day in court and you lose tons of money.
Value your family's financial security. To do otherwise, you are setting yourself up up to lose it all over a window tint
