I want to reiterate that the things that the OP very inartfully said are true. The collective reputation you lesser-thans have is well-earned. If you do not support equal marriage rights, you will be ostracized. If you do not want to be ostracized, you will have to change.
Sorry.
Ps- There will be gay people in heaven, and you won't get an extra cookie for bashing gays in your earthly life.

Pretty shitty that you would take that as a burden on yourself. Why not define your child by how smart, creative, successful, and dynamic he is rather than by who he's fricking? The fact that you even call it "the situation" means it's way too important to you. Let who your kid is into be his thing instead of yours. What do you have to lose? Your kid?
You do realize that is a very normal way to feel if you are a parent right? Nobody wants their kids to live a difficult life. If it were that easy this thread wouldn't even exist. I'm sure every gay person in this thread can honestly say that their parents weren't 100% supportive or at least a little taken back when they found out that they were gay. You may not agree with it but that's just the way it is and always will be bro

and if it doesn't, or if it gets worse?? then, let me guess.... it's not God's fault, right? it's the person that did something wrong....
but it's going good, then yeah, God did that shite... for sure....
God is in charge of everything both good and bad. If a person views it as bad they don't understand what God is doing. I myself don't a lot of the time. The "bad times" should make you appreciate the good times even more and the more faith you put in God your perspective changes and things once seen as bad become good.
Have a minor wreck, saved from a fatality up the road... loved one suffers an illness, life seen as more precious, natural disasters, something that happens to make our world continue, etc etc. I don't have all the answers and this board turns on people of faith because they can't explain everything. That's the definition of faith.
I trust. I don't have to understand.

All,
I "know" God thinks this.
I "know" there is no God.
I "know" who is present or not present in a heaven that may or may not exist.
The problem is not with any of your beliefs. The problem is the unjustified certainty that comes with them.
Since you lack any evidence that would merit such certainty, perhaps you should take a step back, and not feel so strongly about things that don't really affect you.

I'm all for a good debate but, man, your argument is terribly written, no thought went into it, (or maybe it did and you're just not capable of making it).

While I still don't judge there are some pretty specific scriptures for that.

Team OP here too. Don't think he was prepping for a debate. Just venting in cesspool of racism and homophobia.
But his rant does lead me to believe he's a twink bitch-bottom chub chaser.

Freedom to do what. Change definitions?
The battle is over a word: marriage.
People today have the freedom to BE gay. But to call them married is not correct without changing definitions.
