I do not have strong feelings one way or the other on the issue of gay marriage. However, after reading your post I would hope that the gay community could come up with a better champion for their cause.
You might consider that writing a persuasive post does not mean writing a post that is insulting to those who have a different point of view. You may also consider proof reading your post for grammatical and punctuation errors.

Let the gays have their unions but don't call it marriage...marriage has been defined as between a man and a woman since inception, why change now?
How is this dumb? What's dumb is changing the definition of traditional marriage to appease roughly 5% of our population???actually it could be described as stupidity at its finest hour!

i was trying to find something like that after i saw his post
what we really need is for everyone over 40 or so to die. the archaic, religion-centric age group needs to go. now that we have the internet, people can see that traditionally unpopular opinions and views are more widespread than they think. cultural myopia is diminishing with the younger generation.
in 40 years, we'll look back on illegal marriage like we do at the civil rights and women's suffrage controversies.
