Today:

quote:

Arklatex to Tennessee Valley/Mid-South... Widely scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop on both sides of the front throughout the period, becoming scattered near the front this afternoon and evening across parts of the Mid-South and AR. The main convective corridor should shift eastward across southwestern/middle TN and northern MS/northwestern AL overnight. Some of the most intense convection will pose a threat for damaging to marginally severe gusts, anda tornado cannot be ruled out.

Tomorrow (Wednesday):

quote:

Scattered severe thunderstorms are probable Wednesday across the central Gulf Coast states with possible severe weather extending east into western Georgia and the Florida Panhandle overnight Wednesday. A few tornadoes are possible from parts of Louisiana eastward into Mississippi and Alabama. Wind damage may accompany the more intense storms.

Thursday:

quote:

Scattered severe thunderstorms, capable primarily of damaging gusts and perhaps a few tornadoes, are forecast from the northeast Gulf Coast northward into the Carolinas.

I’m going to predict a 100% chance of no severe weather for the BR area. This shite has been busting more than Hillary Clinton’s socks the last few times.

Eta: seeing the EURO come on board for some pretty heavy rains and potentially a decent squall line afterwards. When the EURO is on board, it’s hard to ignore it.

Supposedly tonight into tomorrow mix rain/sleet/snow in DFW. I'm working from home tomorrow and told my team to do likewise.

More of a windy squall line and rain event I think. Tornado potential seems limited.

how? I can't believe your place isn't sopping wet? The water table is so high right now at my place I have water seeping up anywhere that isn't concrete. The worst its ever been at my place.

Thursday morning will probably be terrible. Warm air getting pulled in Wednesday night. Snow to ice to eventual rain by the afternoon. It's going to be a big system too, so wouldn't expect a super smooth flight.

A nice glazed over snow to drive on, that's what dreams are made of.

I got to give Mother Nature a pat on the back for mostly keeping our weekends nice this winter. I’ve played 4 rounds of golf since Christmas Eve and I only play on weekends.

Normally it’s too wet to be enjoyable this time of year.

The high today in Dallas is 67 according to my weather channel app. It was 67 when I left the house to go to work and it’s now 60.

Should be a fun one.
