Watching those guys race from the riders POV is absolutely insane. I get these guys know the course, but it's unbelievable how they are able to fly through the course like that. Especially with the shadow and light changes along the way.

The same reason you harp on me.

You're right, he is kinda a douche.

I haven't found him to be an argumentative douche though.

Yea, I wish I had the skill (and more importantly, the nerves) to be able to race that course. Just watching the videos is crazy. I couldn't imagine actually doing it.

That guy was 5th gear pinned and at one point was just a passenger. My nads went back from whence they came for a sec.

Caught it on TV one night last year and before I knew it I was up way past when I normally go to sleep caught between the TV coverage and YouTube videos.

What channel? Have I missed it. I try to record it every year but I didn't see it.

As for this guy, one thing saved him there, that's is the fact he did not panic and kept his cool.

He keep his arms loose instead of fighting it...

And he's a little lucky

The speeds they go, the width of the track, their usual proximity to each other, it's all insane. Watch it for an hour or so, and count how many posts, trees, telephone poles, walls, rails, ditches, etc, that are almost certain death at those speeds. I don't see how they walk with balls like that.

He at least left some shite marks in that suit.

Come hang out at US129, they can whip you into shape up there.

I go back and watch some of my POV vids from my stupid era up there and wonder why I am still alive. It's nowhere near as bad as pro IoM riders, but I am nowhere near that skill doing shite I shouldn't have survived.

If that was me, there would have been a huge brown stain behind the bike afterwards

You're right. He basically let the bike and it's momentum correct the situation instead of trying to do it himself. That's what saved him.

And made the decision to do that against all instincts to the contrary in a millisecond...
