Went to the Saints game the other day and the quarter smells like it did in the 80’s. Piss , stale beer and weed with the occasional whiff of pine sol.

When I was younger and traveled the country with my parents I remember people always asking if we were from Brooklyn or New York because of my dads accent.
I think it’s a pretty common accent for people from New Orleans and da Parish.

Haven’t been to the city in a while. Last night, went uptown for dinner and worked our way back to the quarter through the night.
The streets are terrible. Truly awful. Walked out of the gold mine and was told there was a shooting a couple of blocks over. What a shithole.
