The guy agreed things looked a little off...the cop was a huge prick who got mad when he told someone on the phone he was being harassed.
This one is pretty cut and dry for me. Shitty cops.
While I understand why this kind of thing can lead to a distrust of police....its not really fair. Just like judging a whole race of people for the actions of some.

And he answered every one of their questions appropriately . He provided them with a wallet with the address on it. He offered to go to neighbors' houses to validate who he was. They ran his name and found nothing. But the police kept Ramping it up. They said he was breathing heavy. Then he had the nerve to get someone on the phone to try and get them over. That's when the cop lost it and said he could not do that.

So by this logic, your average trailer trash flying the rebel flag and dropping racial slurs isn't racist because he doesn't have the means to oppress anyone.

To useful discourse, yes
Hijacking language is a pretty solid tactic, however, and it is a pretty useful tool for the radical left IMO
I do think there comes a point where you stretch the language too thin, and it begins to erode your argument. I'm not sure we are there yet with broad attempts to redefine racism, sexism and even rape, but I hope we're close.

No, the word has a documented meaning. It just doesn't match what you want it to. I don't fully disagree with you on some things, but this is dangerous territory and I can't give you a pass once you try to control people's speech by hijacking language.
Words mean what they mean, and you destroy any possibility of real debate when you disregard or try to change their meaning.
