There have always been trashy kids. The world needs ditch diggers, too.

Two points:
1. One would expect more “bad parents” as population continues to grow so there are more “bad parents” in absolute terms. On a relative basis, who knows if there are more or less.
2. Social media provides a glimpse into sections of society that never got the limelight and never should. You are exposed to a sensationalized world that changes your perception vs reality.
In totality, no one knows whether there are more “good or bad parents” on a relative population basis. It’s just a hypothetical based on opinion and no facts.

Of the five 13 year old pot smokers I knew in 1973, one became a doctor, one works in the Silicon Valley, one played bass and sang for decades in a regionally popular band and now builds boats, and 2 went bad.
