It’s different when you’re a competitor at the olympics. You’re putting on a uniform to represent your country. That’s very different from some bumpkins in the stands at a g league basketball game.
Besides, they only play your country’s anthem if you win, because the athlete is a proxy for their entire country. When the olympian wins, the anthem plays because their country wins. It should be a proud moment.

This is the flag of the United States of America, which for decades has been known as not just a 'symbol' but a beacon of freedom, democracy, and hope for millions around the world, not just us lucky ones here in this country. and thousands of braver individuals than you and i have fought and died to protect it. which took backbone, integrity, and the ability to put others before yourself, qualities you and 'Miss' Berry wouldn't know anything about.

This would be like if the band Stryper was holding auditions for a bassist, I showed up to prove that I was the man for the job, then acted all offended when they started talking about Christianity.
