I was on a bus going to a hotel in Montevideo years ago shortly after the Olympics. I think the population is close to that of Louisiana? They had a guy come in third in some sort of bicycle competition. The driver was so proud of that guy and his country, that’s all he talked about the whole ride to the hotel.

You’re getting real angry, but he’s correct. It’s played once a day, and they happened to be on the podium. She’s a twat and she knew it was going to play because it plays around the same time everyday, but it was unrelated to the podium ceremony.

This. I don't understand it. She is representing the USA, but making it about herself. There are other avenues for making her point. I don't think the Olympics is the proper venue.
I believe this is NOT about representing her country, but rather participating for the revenue which may come out of her participation while at the same time using it as an opportunity for protest. That's not the spirit of the games as I understand them.
I hope she doesn't march with the USA teams at the opening. I want to enjoy the Olympics minus politics and protests as it should be. It's just not supposed to be about all of that.
