I loathe the new vehicles. They are making it hard to work on that shite yourself

The car I drive is a 93. No p/w, no p/dl. No power seats.
Less to break down.

i mean the only thing he said worth a shite was no monthly note.

Had a black 96 grand Cherokee that I drove until I was 25 and by the end of it had no working ac or heat but man that thing was a fricking beast outside of those issues. Got me to and from Baton Rouge from Virginia multiple times, as well as my move up to DC during a winter storm. I’m sure I could’ve ended up putting 300k on that thing. The AC was on the outs by my junior and senior year so anytime I had a date in the summer I’d have to run to an autozone and pump the car full of a new can of this stuff so the ac would work for 24 hours.
What a time to be alive
have a much nicer ride now a days and I still ride with the windows down even though the ac is perfectly fine because I was just so used to battling the Baton Rouge heat with no AC.

What a time to be alive

The trend is going to cars that are just big iphones that move you around. Most of the world likes this. Gen-X and Boomer white guys in America are less than 1% of the world population, our opinions don't matter. This is what the manufacturers know will sell globally.

My new ride is a work truck model has the fewest bells and whistles I could get. I’d still be driving my 2012 pickup if it didn’t need 7k worth of engine work. They need to offer economy stripped down models of most vehicles. Vehicle prices mainly driven by the level of creature comforts crammed in are absurd

You're from BR and went to UVA? We might know each other. What year you graduate high school?

I plan on getting an old school defender in the next 10 years. Has always been a goal of mine. Things are absolute tanks.

Get an old Land Cruiser instead.

Well, it did have a radio and heater.

Nah I grew up in Virginia and graduated from LSU. I’m not a UVA fan just have it up as a Virginia identifier
Charlottesville is one of the best college towns in America though. And there ain’t a better drive on the east coast than around the blue ridge parkway in the summertime. Bodo’s FTW.

OTOH, I absolutely have to have Android Auto or i don't want the vehicle.

That thing is badass.
Anyone have any experience with the Grenadiers? Been seeing a few around Charleston lately. I’m over by Sullivans Island and the amount of money between there and Old Village is insane.

You should hit this guy up. He has 200 of those Defenders stashed away.
How much man who bought 200 Land Rover Defenders in 2015 could be set to make selling them

I'll take my CarPlay, thank you very much. I could do with a CD player that can read MP3s, but who wants to burn a new disc with daily podcasts on it every day?

Whoah thanks for linking that, I’ll check it out.
I have a buddy down in Ft. Lauderdale who just bought a merc g class and he looks like he is ready for the zombie apocalypse with all the bells and whistles he’s put on that thing.
There’s a Brabus on Sullivans with the spoiler and it looks like the dumbest fricking suv I’ve ever seen. Just don’t get the appeal of it.
