Really? I didn't see anything illegal that she did in that video. Yes, she more than likely was gonna shoplift the items judging by her body language after being confronted, but I have seen on more than one occasion where people don't grab a basket because they are going in for one or two things, only to grab a handful of things. So they will use their purse or pockets to help carry the items.
Shoplifting is not a crime until you have left the store with the item.

I get what you and others are saying in this thread, but come the frick on. It's clear as day she was going to shoplift. Again, the guy was a complete dick and may have taken it a step too far, but I'm glad he did it.

Actually, shoplifting is always a crime, period. Now you may question whether hiding stuff in your purse at a store constitutes shoplifting....but unless you are brain dead, you know what she's doing. This is what is wrong. Shame was once a great motivator - nobody wanted to lose the respect of their family or community or to show themselves in a bad light.
Now - shame seems to be something that is obsolete. On here you see it plain and clear. "you don't have the right to shame her for stealing." = biggest problem we have with the country right now.
When I was a child, NOBODY wanted anything to do with 'public assistance.' That would have been 'shameful.' You only went to the government if totally desperate and no other way to survive. Now, it is just another 'option' for how to live your life, raise your family, blend in with the community.
Shame needs to be brought back and people who do unethical things need to be shunned.
