Same thing happened to me on the interstate last September. I got the plate number,called the cops, insurance etc. Police was a dead end and insurance totalled my car ( no shock there) and said they might look into it. Bottom line: nothing happens to these guys. I surmise that if an injury was involved, more would have been done, ( I hope)

Get his name and address from the police when they trace the plate. Ask them for his insurance info (if he has anny) and contact his insurance company as well as yours. Make sure you tell them you have a picture of him leaving the scene . Also, if your daughter was in the car tell them

Probably need to get checked out. Be patient and wait . I would not let my insurance cover. Speak to an attorney if you don’t get answers in a reasonable amount of time. Same thing happened to my wife and we got satisfaction .

It's as much a principle thing as any. Had she not been in the car when it happened, he would be off scott free.
