I will agree with you that the current crop of 40 and younger actors currently suck horribly, headlined by the worst of them all Andrew Garfield.

I will give the OP some credit. Adam Sandler, in The Waterboy, did give us an Oscar worthy performance and should have taken it home. I was lost in his acting, and feel like as an actor, he really stretched his range.

Where does Tom Hardy fall in this? Guy has turned out some pretty solid roles the last 10-15 years. Definitely one of the better male actors right now.
