To be fair most of the famous actors listed didn’t hit major roles until later. We just knew them all already because they were child actors we grew up watching.

Streaming and the death of network television killed the forced child actor pipeline and nothing has really shown up to replace it yet. No parents want to watch children centered shows and kids are too wrapped up in twitch streams, social media content, and bizarre animation to care about real people. So where do you farm child actors into adult superstars? Not too mention the entire rampant abuse scandal’s surrounding all the child actors we grew up watching.

I assume at some point you’ll see adult actors emerge and their background credits will be Instagram reels, YouTube shorts, and TikToks.

If the people behind the scenes of network star paths have any intelligence at all they’re already platforming sterilized and streamlined short form content with people they can control, abuse, and drain.

Film is dying. I see a new memorable movie maybe once per year. Maybe.

People would rather sit at home and swipe up or down watching shorts on YouTube or TikToks than watch a 2 hour movie with commercials about Relief Factor or AARP on TV.

You aren't wrong and it's been nice to watch Hollywood lose their stick

Although the side affect of that is shitty movies, so be it.

They needed to be knocked down a peg.

Leo, Smith, and Cruise were all mega Hollywood stars before age 30. Denzel won an Academy Award at 29. Leo and Cruise had multiple nominations (and Smith one) by that age.

I do believe the rise of prestige television has a lot to do with it.

I think, just in general, entertainment is much more divided than it was in the past. There's so much choice and so many specific individual entertainment avenues to the point that mass appeal is very hard to achieve.

I'll add Henry Cavill & Tom Hiddleston to the list though they're both in their 40s now. Every chick I've ever dated (I'm 30) blows their load over both and they've been big for years and years

What about Brian Cranston? Billy Bob Thorton? Jennifer Lawrence? Zoe Saldana? I am just listing some you forgot. There are others. Jerermy Renner. Samuel L Jackson... I am watching anything they are in.

But this generation's best is probably Julia Garner.. I like Michael B Jordan. There are others out there.

He is one of the actors I will watch anything else he is in. His son is pretty good as well. I liked him in the HBO series Ballers.

Its awful.

Like Gladiators II. I was looking forward to it, it had Denzel in it.. Then the trailer comes out and there are dudes standing on Rhinos, they are having ship battles in arenas filled with water..

They could have developed a good story line and told it without trying to outdo the tiger scene in the first one. The tiger scene isn't why I liked the first one. I don't think that's the main reason most people like the first one. In my opinion, you don't need all of that shite if you have a good story line with actors who can tell it.

Ancient Romans did use rhinos in games at times and the colosseum was flooded for naval battles though. Both of those would be true to life
