It’s almost as if people accumulate wealth as they age.

777, you're wasting your time. That one is too stupid to handle facts. Like I called him, a waste of carbon atoms.

Zip Monkey, you nailed it except I'll add the piss poor education system may have been teaching phonics at that time.

Either way that poor bastard has no idea what happened.

Here is a place to start: O.K. Boomers won the fukin war. 2 damned dimocrats, each a member of the Greatest Generation gave it all away. He threw away 58,220 lives, 2 of them friends of mine.

It sucks because all the millennial and gen xer kids were told by their parents "just get a degree - any degree" because if you had a degree in '82, you were qualified for damn near any job that didn't require specialized training.

Bingo. I'm excited to watch this education bubble burst. Can't wait to watch a lot of these universities take a mighty tumble.

Our current education system no longer makes sense. There's no reason to go to an expensive 4 year university for an accounting degree where you are forced to pay thousands to take History 1001.

Learn to read boomer

You have to be one of the lowest IQ individuals that posts in this forum.

Boomers are the generation that could write a thesis without benefit of a computer.

You couldn't Google a few words and find exactly the paragraph you needed for a source. You had to go to the library and read books, plural.

By the way, the same went for Math, Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry etc. No computers. No calculators allowed. Pen, paper, and a Keuffel & Esser slide rule.

Well, truthfully, those of us boomers that went to college only paid $600 a semester, so didn't gather $200k on debt for a liberal arts degree. Really sucks how much it is, now.

But eventually the Boomers will die. I'm curious how much of that wealth will be left, when they do. This may be just a delay in wealth transfer because Boomers won't die and won't quick working (compared to whom the Boomers inherited their wealth from)

I made a thread about this on the poli board over a month ago. My theory is our Government will be Super Rich because the wealth will begin to transfer and those student loans will start to get paid. I’m kinda curious how this effects the future.

You misread the study.
Dont think so.

The study is comparing various generations, when the median age of said generation was 35. Gen X isn't half the size of the boomers, when both were at age 35
Not quite. But expecting a population size 50% smaller than another to have equal portions of wealth seems silly. It’s pretty clear why they avoided per capita stats here—to induce a perspective.

Except most boomers didnt go to college and never wrote a thesis bc it wasnt required as entry into well paying industry like it is today

That’s because millennials want it ALL right now, instead of working to the goal.
