It’s anazing people treated other people this way as recent as 1940s. Scary to think if shite ever hit the fan here what humans would do to each other.

I don't think it is necessary for the shtf for people to act this way. look at what those savages did to a 100% innocent truck driver and the Los Angeles riots.
In almost all large cities after a natural disaster hits people revert to a more primal level. Interesting how that does not happen in more rural areas....

Less population density confers more breathing space. If the system broke down for an extended length of time rural areas would go feral too. We aren't any more noble than city dwellers. There are plenty of people around me I wouldn't trust in a survival situation.
