so I can appreciate its potential lethality. What I still cannot appreciate are the on again, off again draconian interventions by elected and public health officials.

If the rate of death was exponentially higher with other like maladies, sure, knock oneself out but I don't believe the data supports same.

Life has always and will forever encounter death - even laboratory engineered viruses which I definitely believe this is

Allow people the freedom to move about, as we always do, and extend the same courtesies to those who choose otherwise. Allow this virus to run its course as these public health interventions are exacerbating its resolution

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

Half of the OT is going to have their heads explode trying to figure out how to respond to you.

Define "pretty close". Were you in the hospital? On a vent? ECMO? How long?

12 hours from intubation. Infusion of covid antibodies turned back the virus

10 days hospitalized and about 2 months recovery at home, recently released by physician. Have returned to playing racquetball and walking

Trying to discuss this with any nuance is a lost cause on this board

-It's not dangerous for the huge majority of people

-It's quite dangerous for a sliver of the population

-People who aren't at risk should be able to do what they want

-People who are at risk should look out for themselves and avoid crowds, travel, etc., thereby bearing the brunt of the limitations

-When these two crowds meet by necessity, the people who aren't at risk should voluntarily be considerate of people who are at risk

That take is way too nuanced for the OT, to say nothing of the poliboard.

Nice try Trumpster. Now put your double mask back on, stay in your house and wait for instructions like a good American.

Me:
"I think this can be handled with common courtesy and minimal government involvement"

Poli:
"you and your tyrant friends will never win, i'm going to sneeze in the face of the next feeble at-risk person I see!"
