Well not just that but from a purely anecdotal standpoint, I observed a certain "don't give a shite about you" attitude that came from a certain demographic once Obama was elected and then re-elected. It wasn't a celebration. It was abuse of a good thing. It was "get the frick out of my way honky". It was a complete hypocritical reversal of how they say there's blatant racism going on today, but flipped the other way. It's what I absolutely despise about the Black Lives Matter principle. It's not about equality or unity. It's rooted in "let's get revenge on the whites!" And anybody with common sense can see right through the bullshite.

This is an inane comment and I do not have the time to breakdown the absurdity represented here...

Here is the reality... This country has ALWAYS.. (as in there has never ever been a time or circumstance when it has not been this way...) had a large variety of perspectives, opinions, cultures, political leanings and experiences. The problems at this moment is not this fact or reality.

The problem is there are forces moving within our country that are working to exploit that variety..

The media does it to make an eye catching headline and gain a profit.

Political parties do it 1st to differentiate themselves and 2nd to gain an advantage.

Unfortunately, there are other forces at work attempting turn this country in a direction away from the Constitutional Republic upon which it was founded and into something entirely different.

The turmoil we see and here about now is nothing more that a distraction and we better wake the freak up and keep our eye on the ball!

Else our Kids and Grandkids may be living in rebranded marxist/fascist/socialist mudhole.

Take COVID-19. Trump and his party deserve considerable blame for its handling of the pandemic — first for downplaying the danger, then for failing to take advantage of several weeks in lockdown to set up a nationwide program of testing and tracing, for encouraging Republicans to view the virus through a culture-war lens

I really wish that the FBI would take Antifa and similar groups a bit more seriously. They're giving it the Branch Davidians treatment. And then when it's too late (like the Branch Davidians), we'll see a disaster unfold.

The first two paragraphs are basically "blah blah blah...Trump is an a-hole".

This is Marxist garbage.

I think that there are definitely groups out there pushing civil unrest for the sake of civil unrest. They're trolling. And like you have on here when people get trolled hook line and sinker, you have the nimrods out there who buy into the the cancel culture to out liberal one another. These groups feed off of that, and promote even more civil unrest. I don't really get what the motive is. Maybe it's the same as a pyromaniac arsonist who gets off seeing a house go up in flames to get his jollies off. Except these groups are getting off on seeing the institution of normal American life "go up in flames". If I'm crazy for admitting it, so be it. But I really do think that's what's going on right now. The issue with the police and Covid happened like it would have. They're taking this as one big opportunity to further exacerbate everything right now. It's one giant perfect storm brewing and soon there will be a breaking point.

Blaming all this division on him is completely dumb. The division has always existed. The Internet, and social media in particular, is the one that has really exposed it. It allowed fringe groups, who are the most vocal, to get more and more followers. It allowed every idiot in the world a platform to spew whatever toxic shite they want to spew.

The media has always sensationalized every damn thing. Otherwise no one would watch their garbage.

Social media and the media have more influence on an average American’s life compared to whoever the president is.
