What exact policies or statements did Obama give to racially divide this country? Name one thing.

don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played," Obama said Wednesday night while taking questions after a White House news conference. Cambridge authorities dropped disorderly conduct charges against Henry Louis Gates Jr. on Tuesday. Obama defended Gates on Wednesday night, while admitting that he may be "a little biased," because Gates is a friend. "But I think it's fair to say, No. 1, any of us would be pretty angry; No. 2, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and, No. 3 ... that there's a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately."

Obama was caught in an uncharacteristic moment of loose language. Referring to working-class voters in old industrial towns decimated by job losses, the presidential hopeful said: "They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

The comments were seized on by his rival for the Democratic party candidacy, Hillary Clinton, who saw in them the hope of reviving her flagging campaign by turning voters in the important Pennsylvania primary on April 22 against what she classed as Obama's revealed "elitism".

"I was taken aback by the demeaning remarks Senator Obama made about people in small-town America," she said on Saturday. "His remarks are elitist and out of touch." Clinton campaigners in North Carolina handed out stickers saying: "I'm not bitter."

What president was the root cause of the housing collapse, Clinton or W? Your response will determine if you are worth debating.

Speaker.gov press release

quote:

The Trump Administration’s expansion of its outrageous, un-American travel ban threatens our security, our values and the rule of law. The sweeping rule, barring more than 350 million individuals from predominantly African nations from traveling to the United States, is discrimination disguised as policy. “America’s strength has always been as a beacon of hope and opportunity for people around the world, whose dreams and aspirations have enriched our nation and made America more American. With this latest callous decision, the President has doubled down on his cruelty and further undermined our global leadership, our Constitution and our proud heritage as a nation of immigrants. “In the Congress and in the Courts, House Democrats will continue to oppose the Administration’s dangerous anti-immigrant agenda. In the coming weeks, the House Judiciary Committee will mark-up and bring to the Floor the NO BAN Act to prohibit religious discrimination in our immigration system and limit the President’s ability to impose such biased and bigoted restrictions. We will never allow hatred or bigotry to define our nation or destroy our values.”

White people clinging to their guns or their religion.

Sending his DoJ to investigate Ferguson when Darren Wilson was totally justified. And then failing to find anything wrong.

If I had a son.

Police acted stupidly.

Told Latinos to punish their enemies.

“The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn’t. But she is a typical white person, who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn’t know there’s a reaction that’s been bred into our experiences that don’t go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way and that’s just the nature of race in our society

He has tons of divisive comments. And I don’t even dislike Obama that much. He’s pretty damn conservative compared to today’s democrats. I’d vote for him over Hillary in a heartbeat, but he caused some divide. Some of that was responding to racists that hated for him just being elected, but his responses didn’t help at all. I didn’t grow up a black man in America and see the world through his eyes. I don’t think he’s correct on a lot of things but I understand his viewpoint.

Obama's DOJ provoked racial divide all by itself, by its actions/ lack of same. Which party's supporters are violently rioting in the streets, as in Seattle's case, taking over a part of a city? Pick 10 videos popular on YouTube now: how many show black thugs beating up white people? How many show red necks beating up black people? Which side is burning buildings and cars? Whose supporters, at a political rally, are shown dancing & laffing with LEO? Racial issues have been around forever, sadly, and there is fault on both sides. But to say one party is to blame for this divide is moronic & biased. Personally, I see no solution anytime soon. Regardless of who wins in Nov, all is takes is one more incident of police abusing their power, and that will happen, the country will explode all over again. And note that 1.8 million background checks for gun purchases were performed in this country since March. And one background check does not equal only one gun purchased.

I didn’t care for Obama’s HUD to actively push for more Sec 8 housing specifically in areas without any.

The only thing Obama did was stick it to the working class with his bullshite obama care . All that did was make health insurance skyrocket for working people. Yeah lets stick to the people who are actually trying to live the american dream and raise their kids right.
