I used to think it was horrifying if I woke up for good in the morning and it was still dark outside. Now, because of age I’m sure, I think it’s horrifying if I wake up and it’s daylight outside.

I actually like waking up around 4:30am and it’s still dark. I like making coffee, the wife is still sleeping, and you have ‘private’ time.

You are my hero, 38 years old, 16 years of getting up at 6 every morning and I still hate it. I was just talking to someone last night about how much better my life would be if I could ever become a morning person. Most of my strife is waking up early and dreading having to wake up early.

Garth Brooks.

Was the biggest fan growing up and knew all the songs. Was sad when he left music all those years and wanted new material.

Now, anything new he has sucks. He's the cheesiest performer I've seen and he does an obnoxious scream constantly that ruin his songs live. Plus his whole stance on not being on Spotify and before Napster made him look like a greedy bitch.

DVD'S, I used to and still have an extensive VHS collection.

Didn't want to have to rebuild everything, but I did. Now I'm still rebuying with Blu-ray and 4K

How old are you? I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’ll never be a morning person
Same here. I am not a morning person. In fact on my days off, my favorite thing to do is eat breakfast with my wife around 7 am, then when she leaves for work, I go back to bed and take about a 2 hour nap. I swear I sleep so deep in those mid morning hours that it’s crazy.

Yep. I'll never grow out of it.

I go to work at 9 and could easily be happy with 10-11. People who wake up at 6 have my sympathies.

You just put that fedora right on the shelf one day and never took it down again. Good for you, Luke.

Home schooling. I was home schooled and thought I missed out. But looking back the freedom to go and learn things from experiences and the scheduling flexibility make it seem awfully tempting.

I personally enjoy waking up right at sunrise. I actually make sure natural sunlight is my alarm in the morning. I get to bed at a reasonable time every night so my routine is pretty set. Like you said, I can’t imagine waking up as late as I used to. There’s just so much shite I have to do these days it seems

I couldn't agree more. I don't know how anyone could believe in nonsense like that.

Fortunately, you can move on from this with an honest attempt at philosophical and theological understanding of how to truly define God.

I used to make fun of people who played D&D or tabletop RPG games.

Now I DM a group of 5 other dads every 2 weeks for Dungeons & Drinking. It's a shitton of fun.

A podcast I listen to played it and it seems fun as shite.
