Things we have learned from TV commercials:

1) Most happy young couples are interracial.
2) White dads are always stupid, and need constant direction to keep from dying during everyday activities.
3) Black parents are always married, stable, and upper middle class.
4) Blind people are always rich and totally independent.
I miss anything?

Very rarely any other cars on the road during car commercials.
McDonald's doesn't believe in having white people in their commercials.
Commercials also love using indie/pop/rock/hip-hop music.
I don't have cable TV, so I only have a limited perspective on the situation.
