The ol’ lady and I were going to visit one of the casino’s next week. Two questions:

They’re all about the same price. Which one is the nicest to stay? I remember the Horseshoe was nice years ago but not sure if things change.

Will be there two nights. Not planning on gambling the whole time. What are some other things to do or see while there? I know most of Shreveport is a shithole, but I’m sure there’s some nice things to see somewhere.

You'll be gunned down before you ever make it to the casino.

I haven't been to The Boardwalk since probably 2016, but it used to be okay.

The river walk area is pretty cool. Sci-port science museum is cool if you’re into that stuff. There’s an axe throwing place on Texas st. That’s about it.

Shreveport has an Aquarium (Havent been to confirm if its nice or not). Ki Mexico should be a must stop... the tacos there are insanely good, and they will probably have live music on the weekend.

I second this. My wife is unfortunately from the area but we have fun at the above places. They’re better than most bars in BR in my opinion.

The river walk area in Bossier is pretty fun. Hand full of bars/restaurants, and super laid back.

Shreveport has some cool restaurants. The Library, Fat Calf, Zuzil, and Great Raft Brewery has cool/different food too.

Can't go to blind tiger or sand bar right now. Big fire in the area yesterday. They were close to burning down.

There is a big, nice country bar in Bossier called “Big Country”. A young crowd but there are always a few older folks there. It’s not rowdy at all.

3rd this nomination. Hurricane Alley usually has some pretty good music. This is the only area that I venture out to at night.
