CBD shops
Oh yeah, weed shops. I'm getting an apt downtown for the summer for relatives, and there's a half dozen weed shops within a 3 minute walk.

First, Payday Loan places start opening around you.
Next, the banks will start closing and relocating.
Then, car dealerships move to the other side of town.
Then the stealerships will be replaced by auto body shops.

Armed security everywhere now. And at places you wouldn't expect- like Subway or the grocery store.

I often walk my dog at night. There are a lot more weed smokers in my neighborhood than I would have originally suspected.

Bank branches closing. But my big peeve is not replacing tellers with more dive-thru ATMs.

Donut marks, in any empty, poorly lit, hidden parking lot. I like to think these people were denied a ride on a carousel as a child. "I just wanna go in circles!!!"

Lots of Afghan and Somalias around town, and in arrest records

Take 5 (terrible company) just swooped in and bought out all the locally owned oil places in my area, in the past year.
I haven't been to BR in a while but was there for a game this year and I saw a take 5 on literally every corner

Ask me this back in 2017 and I would've told you that Mattress Firms seem to be popping up in every neighborhood in Atlanta.

People must use personal storage facilities a lot more than I thought.
has to be a real estate play. Those storage units have minimal overhead and only require 10% occupancy to stay in the black. I feel like they are just holding land

Too many people are moving to my town way too fast. Tons from up north and California. They are buying up all the houses and condos and pricing a lot of people out that were born here.

Crappy neighborhoods popping up everywhere that will be ghettos in a few years.

Ugly, obtrusive, obnoxious, dangerous 5G towers that suddenly sprang up everywhere (during the whole 2020-2021 while everyone was virtually lock-downed)

Concur with the sentiments (but despise that obnoxious gif -- which coincidentally is also ironically "flying under the radar" at TD)
