As others have stated
Pulling cards for classes
Murphy's for dollar calls
South seas
And any other frat parties
Walking into football games with a 3 liter coke poured out and full of bourbon and no one giving you a hard time when entering the stadium

My employees cannot get even get their scheduling date correct. I tell them about REGGIE all the time

$6 student tickets
At one point I had a pair of tickets through the fraternity (assigned section) and a pair in the general student section (one for $6 and a guest ticket for $26). Not sure why I needed four tickets.

If you took all the music acts that roll through New Orleans (House of Blues, Fillmore, etc.) - and added a few more per month, that's what we used to get at the Varsity. There were 4-5 bands rolling through on any given week.
Hell, even The Bayou had some good bands play there.
So my answer would be - music scene with more than just local bands and cover bands with an occasional spattering of a washed up sentimental 90's band.

quote:at the end of REGGIEs life, it was the best way to schedule. the online schedule would time out with all the traffic, and it was hard to get linked to schedule. Well with REGGIE, i was able to schedule very easily and quickly.

Also calling REGGIE at the end of the semester to find out your grades. His slow pace was pure agony.

bar in Hatcher
Spent many a night drinking there. I could drink as much as I wanted and then simply walk upstairs to my room.
My freshman dorm was Johnston (next door to Hatcher). My best friend had a 4 man room that only 2 guys were living in. He and I were in the Hatcher pub one night and we were just about done. He says to me, "Go hold the door open." So I did. He grabbed the table and just walked out with it and took it up to his room. "The room needed a table," he said.
