i doubt the feds do anything when the state has a bunch of felonies. the feds don't often interfere with these sorts of state-based busts. if they're involved in the investigation side of things? yes. then they have control over shite to ensure victory. taking on sloppy state-based cases hurts their stats

there is a lot of overlap, so it's always possible. i just doubt it

Sabi - you're a smart educated man (or so I like to think) - he's done this many times, I bet. This is a nice sideline business for him.

But, however dumb we think cops and corrections officers might be, they figure something like this out, eventually.

(ETA: Not knowing anything about this guy, I suspect he's taking a lot of this crap in payment from criminal defense clients and has had trouble moving it. Moral of the story - Jake, only take cash or certified funds. No chickens, illegal .50s, etc.)
