Just drove by the one in Lafayette. It is strange seeing that parking lot empty. It's normally packed. All day errryday (except Sunday)

my niece works at joanns arts and crafts

they staying open but today she said they just reduced store hours from 9-4

i keep thinking who the frick is shopping there planning parties at times like this?

I've read that JoAnne stores are cutting out mask pieces and asking for volunteers to go and get them, sew them and then return. Maybe that's "essential"? IDK.

Some people are buying fabric & elastic to make masks for hospital workers. I know there was a discussion on FB or Nextdoor about what places were still open to get the stuff needed to make them.

That other BS is completely unnecessary though.

To be fair, it isn't a party planning store. Its a craft store.

I'm not the crafting type, but I can see why someone who is would want to get a bunch of shite to keep themselves occupied while quarantined. They sell like knitting/sewing/crafting supplies.

It’s not really party stuff. That’s Party City. Hobbly Lobby is mainly things for people to use for hobbies-sewing, scrapbooks, model cars, art and crafts activities for kids.
