Maybe there's a reason no one understands.

Typical response. Explain it to me so that I can understand.

No attempt to have a discussion. They don’t want a discussion. They want you to agree with their opinion lockstep. If you don’t, they call you a bunch of names and dismiss you.

Sums up American society in 2020 in a nutshell if it’s not race, it’s the pandemic, if not that it’s politics, etc. etc. Not that long ago civics & ethics were a standard foundation of both a public or private education. Our society had these hard but civil conversations at dinner tables, bars, restaurants, and work places across the land on a weekly basis. Most of the time it may not have been pleasant but that’s what made it worthwhile. Technology & the PC culture has completely changed that and social media is a scourge to modern humans.

It’s not that I don’t understand it’s that I just don’t care.

Yeah, after one guy called me a clown, I responded, “We don’t share the same opinion, so I’m a clown. American civil discourse: 2020.”

He laughed at the comment, and the OP responded, “Why is this clown still here? I unfriended him.” Neither ever addressed the topic.

I don’t understand why “strong” black men with huge stages (professional athletes) don’t make an effort to get their fellow black men to see the wrongs in their ways. The message should be to start with the man in the mirror. That’s the quickest way for the black community to make a positive change. Once they respect themselves, others will follow.

Would you take a couple of minutes and answer each of his questions? A lot of us would like to know.

I dont understand why one race constantly needs others to help them out. Welfare, affirmative action, NAACP, rooney rule, BET, etc. Each award show has a black only version. But yet, they constantly need others to change in order to help them advance. Give me a fricking break. Start giving a shite about your own people and your own situation before you ever think about asking me to.

Explain it to me then.

No one ever has any answers besides "you dont understand" or "you dont get it".

Surely someone can explain it. Shouldn't be too hard if thousands are protesting over it.

Feel your pain! I got a younger sibling who’s a lefty & can’t have a face to face unless a phone is involved. Ironically, her son, my nephew....is on the HS debate team. SMDH

I don't understand why your entire movement is allegedly based on "inclusion and acceptance" yet you condemn anyone who doesn't 100% agree with you on every point.

Some people do this, not all. Generalizations are dangerous.

I agree with you that there's too much attacking of people that may have a different perspective than those that push so fervently for social justice. I don't think that encourages fruitful discourse.
