I agree, and particularly on local elections.
I don't put up Fani Willis signs because I want people to know how virtuous I am. I put them up because Paul Howard is a crook and people stuck in traffic in front of my house everyday who DGAF about politics might remember the name of his opponent because of our signs when they get into the voting booth.

I feel the same way about the Coexist bumper stickers.
These idiots fail to grasp the fact that Muslims want to either kill, convert, or enslave them. Had a gay person try to call me an Islamophobe; I just showed him videos of ISIS and the Taliban executing gays by throwing them off buildings. Told him I don't agree with his lifestyle; these folks you want to protect want to KILL you. Crickets...
