sounds like he was doing his job protecting his home. I know you didn't do anything to provoke him, but coming onto his territory alone is enough to him.

I couldn’t care if it was miniature dachshunds. That dude had it coming and it was beautiful to watch

I keep the blinds halfway up on one window in the front room so they can look out and watch the front porch. I don’t have to lock my doors.
