They tore down Tiger Stadium. In it's place they have a queer drum circle and slam poetry readings. I guess the MSM is keeping it under wraps.

not sure but he said he was going to crack down on underage drinking - well my lsu student went to the living expo thing earlier this week where all the apartments give out free stuff and advertise - and they were giving out hangover kits and beer bottle koozies

I think that kind of sends the wrong message there

The way I understand critical race theory is that systemic racism exists and unless we change our laws and how we govern it will continue to exist.

What’s wrong with someone discussing this idea?

I agree

It’s time to make some changes to bring equality in America

1. Food stamps for all
2. Welfare for all
3. Stealing pallets of generators from Home Depot and not going to jail for all
4. New tv channels: wet, aet, and met
5. Everybody gets a history month
6. Everybody gets a word only they can say

That at its foundation it’s completely false. You’re asking people to start a discussion agreeing to something that is 100% incorrect.

We actually have laws in place that forbid it from existing.

I’m not asking this. Specific college professors who study this field are asking this. These are opinions. Republican fear mongering is the only reason this is a commonly recognized acronym.

The DEI people get stuff done. They know how to be proactive and get into position to make change.

Conservatives just post about it on internet forums to generate money for people that hate them.

What laws would you change?

The clearest example of systemic racism is racism against whites and Asians in academic admissions processes at top schools. This is pushed and rationalized by the same people that say they're fighting systemic racism.

this isn’t racism imo. These laws are not because the government believes blacks and other minorities are better than whites. They’re made because blacks and minorities have very little wealth in this country and giving them education is seen as a way to fix that.

Aren’t Asians minorities?

This whole thing is preposterous and a money/power grab.

HOWEVER, I think we would be shortsighted and foolish to say that there were NEVER racist laws on the books. The crack vs cocaine sentencing guidelines (undone by Bush of all ppl I believe) is a recent example, where ppl caught with crack were sentenced to 4x the amount of prison time vs cocaine, and the sentencing guidelines were mandatory.

Does racism exist in America? Of course.

Does racism exist everywhere? Of course.

Is racism pervasive in our culture and laws? Nope.

Was it because people on crack were a bigger menace to society?
