There's gotta be a better way to pay for drinks at a bar/club

I hate cash and hate opening tab.

I prefer the places that open a tab but give your card back. That way if it's real busy you just leave without cashing out. They typically add somewhere around 20% gratuity which I'm fine with since I usually end up tipping more than that anyway esp if I'm drinking.

Go to a neighborhood bar that'll let you start a weekly tab

I agree with BabyTac. I am perfectly fine with an addition fee added just to not have to deal with waiting 15 minutes at the end just to close out

A few places just keep track of your drinks and you pay when you leave.

My bar is a pay when you leave type joint.
If in baton rouge or new orleans, I open a tab, but write my last name on my palm. If they ask my name for the first few drinks, I flash my name instead of saying it.
Keeps kids from putting drinks on your tab.

I have never had someone put drinks on my tab. They would get their arse beat.

Get the Bareye app.

The app, created by Vilma’s business partner, Andrew Bennett, allows you to order and pay for drinks in a bar that you’re in, or send a drink to someone else in a remote location using your smartphone.

Don't try this at happys
They add like 100 bucks to your bill if you leave before closing

If you were a decent looking female, you wouldn't ever have to buy a drink..

That's pretty greasy of them to do

I never, never, never, use a card at a bar. I always stop at an ATM on the way and get cash.

Do some recon on a bar that holds your card until you close out, have a drink or two.
Wait until a good night to go out.
Cancel your card, then return to said bar, drink for free and leave.

That's really shitty of them. I generally don't go to Happy's anyway. If I want over priced beer, in a smoke filled shite hole, and to look at half dressed women, I'll just go to a strip club.
