The GF & I have to use our airplane tix before September and we scheduled a trip in a couple of weeks to Miami South Beach since we've never been.

Plan is to get some sun, enjoy the Atlantic, eat some Cuban food next door in Little Havana, enjoy the music/nightlife/art-deco district.

Then I catch wind of the seaweed epidemic going on. Marine biologists are saying it's 100x's worse than it's ever been, bringing rotten-egg smelling seaweed with sea-lice infestation.

Come to find out, it's not just Miami. It's most of the East Coast, as far up as New Jersey. Something about deforestation from Africa/Amazon that is putting 4.4 million tons of seaweed heading to the Caribbean/USA East Coast/mexico/Gulf.

Still going to Miami for everything else it offers, but I ain't going near the Atlantic.

it always happens, every year on an eastern seaboard. They rake the beaches every night with tractors.

So, not only does deforestation make "Global Warming", now it also makes seaweed?

Love the panhandle.

But I've never been to the Atlantic-side of FLA. I finally decide to go and this shite is brewing.

Come down to lawless land in Ft Morgan. Rumors on the street is that bricks of cocaine have been washing up near the Fort recently. Hoping one makes it through the pass and gets caught on one of my oyster cages.

Baw, the panhandle of Florida isn't the part sticking out in the water (AKA the peninsula).

They should just have the vegetarians eat it all.

Personally I enjoy seaweed

Sounds like you’re guilty of committing a good deed for another person (not even one goes unpunished).
