TL;DR - kid alleges rape at school yet refuses to answer questions from police

It's the one that the Katy people don't want to claim, and by that I mean Mayde Creek

LINK

quote:

A 16-year-old 11th grade female student at Mayde Creek High School tells KPRC Channel 2 that she was raped on campus last month, but as of the publication of this story she's provided the TV station with more information than she's provided school district police, according to Katy ISD.

quote:

The victim says the attack happened Nov. 22. The attack was reported to the Katy Independent School District late Wednesday night on Dec. 4. The report was taken by the police nightshift, which begins at 10 p.m., according to school district spokesperson Renie Deanda.

The following morning the alleged victim contacted the Houston TV station, but was not responding to numerous requests from Katy ISD Police for more information, according to Deanda.

So the person waits 2 weeks to contact police (I don't understand, but this seems common in these situations, sadly), yet waits on a few hours after that to call a tv station?

quote:

According to the KPRC Channel 2 report, the teenager says she was attacked in a secluded hallway near the cafeteria at Mayde Creek about 11:30 a.m. Nov. 22.

The student told the Houston TV station that it was a 30 minute attack and that she was screaming during the entire encounter. She said she tried to fight off her attacker but was unsuccessful. According to the report, once the bell rang the male attacker, whom she does not know by name, stopped and walked away.

The thought that a kid could be raped for 30 minutes DURING SCHOOL HOURS INSIDE THE SCHOOL BUILDINGS is certainly terrifying.

Also from the KPRC article:

quote:

She said the school should have been able to protect her daughter from this kind of attack, especially inside the building.

“When we put our kids in the hands of another, especially a school situation, we expect our kids to be safe," the girl’s mother said. "We expect our kids to come home the same way we sent them.”

Yet... the article also says:

quote:

KPRC 2 spoke with district officials who said a Katy ISD detective tried to contact the girl and her mother, but they were uncooperative.

So what's going on here? Why would they run to the tv station yet not follow up with the school / police? This doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Olivia Benson will soon be on the case and whisper to the girl that she believes her and believes all victims and then shame anyone who doesn't follow her lead

Even if we believe the kid... don't we want the perp found and held accountable? How are you going to do that without cooperating?

They gonna try to get money from the school district?

Sure, but don't you have to provide at least some evidence or information?

I remember Mayde Creek was the ‘black school’ in Katy, but I have zero reason to believe there aren’t cameras all over that school.

So, if an attacker walked up to her and her mom in the street and shot the daughter, it would be the mom's fault?

It's also what I'd call, to put it politely, implausible

I am calling BS on the rape. No one is raped for half an hour during school hours. Its not like the halls are completely empty at all times. Plus she was screaming the whole time? Someone would have heard.

Not when you run to the media and start whipping the outrage brigade into a frenzy. At that point evidence or truth really doesn't matter.

The school district will pay her to shut up.

Being raped at school? It could happen.

Like this? Sorry, you're not going to get me to believe that.

North of I10.

So it is crap. That whole area is a suburb ghetto. Anything feeding to Creek, Morton Ranch, Cy Park, Cy Springs is all pretty suspect.

And yeah they have cameras all over but I bet this mysteriously won't be caught on it. This sounds fake as shite. All kinds of fishy.
