Rain is hitting that same area right now.
It’s a slow storm again just sitting there.

Kerrville to Canyon Lake is around 70 miles. Doubtful that anyone floated that far.

Do you know how far downstream from the entry point any body was found?

There were some pictures from the flooding that I found horrifying/startling. Mainly because I have never really seen anything like that before. Trucks completely buried in mud. I would imagine if the floods buried vehicles like that, it's safe to assume that these bodies may never be found.

Of all the stuff mother nature can throw at you, water is the element that is absolutely terrifying.

When Dave Aranda was the DC at LSU, I remember reading an article where he said he wanted his defense to be water. He told them that water is the most destructive element on the entire planet.

When I read that, my initial thought was, well that pretty stupid….theres no way that’s true. Water is the key to all life!

But then I got to thinking about it and come to realize, you know, he’s right. There’s nothing on this earth that, with the right amount of volume and force that water won’t or can’t destroy.

I still can’t fathom how 300 people could get swept away in a flood when it took place over several hours.

I hope you are never in a flood. You have no idea the power of water.

My stepmother's best friend is still missing her 8-year-old granddaughter from Camp Mystic. Really sad.

There is good reason for the saying, "Hide from wind, run from water."

Saw this picture the other day, pretty much gave me an idea of how so many could still be missing. Just horrible.

Pics like this make me think some people may never be found. Reminds me of some of the dinosaur Fossils found millions of years later that are still intact. The whole body was just encased in the soil. Sad situation for people looking for the missing.

I think they’ve found bodies around Comfort and that’s about halfway or a bit less to the lake.
I heard from a worker that’s been down there and they think it’s possible some bodies made it to the lake. Not sure they’ve searched close to it yet.

There have been at least 8 fatalities in Kendall county, so those people could have been from the area.

You have potential entry points from Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Centerpoint, and Comfort and all in between. I could maybe believe from Comfort to Canyon but not from significant miles upriver like Kerrville and beyond.

That's more than a Jeep. His fire engine was buried along with a Jeep. They were working rescues when he was swept away. I believe his wife was with him, but I'm not sure if she survived.

Pic on the lower right is all I had seen. The FB posts said he was on his way to work, but that was very early and may have been incorrect. The closeup clearly shows the Jeep logo on the center cap. Sad and frightening at the same time. People just had no chance at all.

but some bodies have to have made it all the way to canyon lake?
I would think most bodies are buried under mounds of tree debris, tree trunks and sand or rocks.

Some may probably never be found.

I saw a video of a guy poking holes into debris with a stick looking for the smell of decaying bodies.
I’m sure they’re using numerous cadaver dogs.

No men can do the work of those dogs.

Aranda ripped this off verbatim from Bruce Lee who said this exact thing 50 years before lol.
