I'm in cochrans crossing between gosling and kuykendahl. My backyard looks like a swimming pool but the streets aren't even over the curb still. This rain needs to stop soon to make me feel better though.

My buddies parents are in that area on chancery, their back patio is flooded but I don't think there is much worry for the actual house.

I don't know much about the waterways in the area, but it wasn't too much rain in one specific location that hit the Baton Rouge area, it was all of the rain eventually overloading the bayous, rivers and creeks. I remember thinking we were safe on Saturday only to have to evacuate on Sunday. It's really surreal to see the water level slowly rise on the street thinking that's as high as it will get but it just keeps rising. Nobody in the Houston area should feel that they're safe unless they can stay dry for at least a few more days.

Thanks, they are slightly north of the pinpoints on the right side...

So hopefully they are above the flooding.

My sister-in-law lives on Wood Drake Place and has a foot of water in her house. Not sure where this is in the Woodlands.

They are supposed to increase flows out of the dam at Lake Conroe today to record releases which is supposed to flood the River Plantation and Wood forest areas (north of Woodlands) if I heard right on the TV station this morning. Calling for recommended evacuations of those areas.

Pretty close but not sure how the creeks and rivers will flow and what will be affected outside of the two areas mentioned.

I'm at 1488 and 2978 right now and we've been pretty dry. Hoping it won't have a bigger effect.

That map of the neighborhoods told to evacuate makes me uneasy. I'm on Pathfinders Circle, pretty much in the corner where gosling and woodlands parkway meet. I think I should be fine, but it's too close for comfort.

My sister just sent me a picture from the back of carriage hills, if you've ever driven all the way back to their gate that leads to the river, the gate is completely under water.

To those familiar with the area... Could one make it from interstate to around St Anthony?

Harpers Landing is in the Woodlands, NE side of I 45 & 242. Had to evacuate today with water probably about 1' from foundation as of nightfall.

Supposedly some well-placed, elected mouthpiece proclaimed the flooding that has taken place in SE Conroe and the Woodlands was only caused by the ground being saturated. I guess it's a coincidence that water was flowing in the right direction last night then magically a couple of hours after the dam was opened it started flowing in the opposite direction. The complete failure by the San Jacinto River Authority has caused millions in damages in this storm.

yes, and it is at record levels in Humble where it crosses 59. I've heard the same about Kingwood

We are in Kingwood. Still have power and no flooding, we live at the back but not at the VERY back close to the water.
